-ED or -ING (Adjectives)

-ED or -ING (Adjectives)

Do you know when to use ‘excited’ or ‘exciting’? Do you feel confused or confusing?

As an English teacher, I often hear my students making a very common mistake. They never know when to use adjectives that end in -ed and when to use adjectives that end in -ing. The trick is to think about about whether it’s a feeling. If it is, you should be using -ed. If it’s a thing or an experience, you should be using -ing. Try not to get overwhelmed because this stuff isn’t overwhelming.
